Leading in the teaching environment

Leading as a teacher - what can we learn from leadership science?

What makes a great leader? Can I or should I be a leader when I teach? How can I lead a crowd?

This workshop will look at how to lead and supervise in the teaching environment to help you excel. The course will be interactive, also having some lecture sequences. Overall, it aims to provide you with a rich learning experience, reflective parts and group exercises. In addition, workshop participants should share their experience and learn from each other.

Key content:

This workshops aims to share leadership insights and real-life examples as they pertain to the world of teaching. Participants are asked to reflect about their own leadership preferences.

Goals:

  • reflect on your own leadership style
  • understand that different styles are approrpriate in different situations
  • become comfortable to apply leadership insights to your individual work situation, while being flexible

Preparation:
